ComTac VI NIB Series
Next-generation tactical headset featuring Natural Interaction Behavior (NIB) for headset-to-headset communication without a radio, Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) for environment-optimized listening, and advanced digital signal processing.
What's New in ComTac VI
Natural Interaction Behavior (NIB) — Short-range headset-to-headset communication without an external radio. Up to 4 team members speak simultaneously, 60+ can listen within a 5-meter radius. Activated by VOX (hands-free) or PTT button on left earcup.
Mission Audio Profiles (MAP) — Five advanced environmental listening presets that optimize amplitude and frequency response for specific operational conditions: dismounted patrol, vehicle, aircraft, indoor CQB, and range training.
Telescope Boom Mic — New IP68 waterproof design (3m/30min submersion). Can be used left or right side without relocating the microphone assembly to the opposite earcup.
Tool-Free Battery Access — Watertight battery cover removes without tools for fast field replacement.
Core Capabilities
Digital Signal Processing — New DSP chip delivers premier sound quality for environmental listening and radio communications. High-fidelity speakers with noise-canceling environmental microphones.
Enhanced RF/EMI Immunity — Advanced shielding throughout cables and circuitry ensures compatibility with current and emerging software-defined radios and encrypted waveforms.
NATO Wiring (U-174) — Single comm (-47N) or dual comm (-19N) configurations. Engineered to prevent cross-talk on dual comm setups.
ARC Adapters Included — Ships with headband and ARC rail adapters for helmet-mounted operations on Ops-Core FAST, Team Wendy, and compatible helmet systems.
Frequency Variants
Two versions are available in the United States:
Dual Frequency (Restricted) — Operates on 915 MHz (North America; Europe 864 MHz) (North America/Australia/NZ) and 864 MHz (Europe). Exclusively for U.S. Federal Government end users supporting international operations.
Single Frequency (915 MHz (North America; Europe 864 MHz)) — FCC-approved 915 MHz (North America; Europe 864 MHz) band. Available for law enforcement and qualified civilian purchasers. SKU suffix 'S' (e.g., -47N GNS).

DISCO32 Constant Able PTT — Full ComTac Compatibility
The DISCO32 Constant Able series PTTs are fully compatible with PELTOR ComTac headsets. The ComTac’s standard NATO U-174 connector plugs directly into any Constant Able PTT — no adapters, no downleads. The Constant Able’s auto-switching circuit detects your headset’s dynamic microphone and adjusts impedance automatically — no manual configuration required.
This gives ComTac operators single-channel push-to-talk capability across a wide range of conventional and LMR radios: Motorola APX/XTS, Kenwood, Hytera, Harris/L3Harris, Icom, Baofeng, and more. If your radio isn’t covered by the FL4063 series, the Constant Able fills the gap.
