How do I choose protection level?
Rifle Protection
Stops: 7.62×39, 5.56mm (model dependent)
Use case: Active shooter response, high-risk entries where rifle threats are anticipated
NIJ Level IIIA
Stops: 9mm, .357 Mag, .44 Mag + fragmentation
Use case: Warrant service, SWAT/SRT operations, tactical patrol—standard for most LE tactical applications
Non-Ballistic
Stops: Impact only (EN 1385)
Use case: Training, search & rescue, helo crew, administrative operations
Reference: NIJ Standards 0106.01, 0108.01 Level IIIA
For anticipated rifle threats: active shooter response, high-risk entries, known armed subjects. Increased weight tradeoff.
Standard for tactical law enforcement. Stops all common handgun threats + fragmentation. USSOCOM FTHS program standard.

Comms Configuration
The AMP has two Fischer 10-pin ports. Configure single or dual channel.
Single Channel
One radio • Mono-Binaural (heard in both ears)

2 DownleadsMono-Binaural vs Monaural: Single channel distributes audio to both ears. Dual channel sends Channel 1 to left ear only, Channel 2 to right ear only—two independent mono signals for multi-net operations.
Aircraft Integration
Will you be connecting to Aircraft Intercom Systems (ICS)?
SMAHT Cable Recommended
For aircraft ICS integration, we recommend the SMAHT (Situational Monitoring Audio Headset Termination) cable for your secondary channel. Provides proper impedance matching and VOX control.

DGMA - Disco32 Gas Mask Adapter
The DGMA connects between your PTT and protective mask's ECP (Electronic Communications Port). It bypasses the AMP boom microphone and uses the mask's internal microphone instead. 16" cable, plug-and-play.
Compatible: C50, M50, FM53, FM54, MBU-12/P oxygen mask
Downlead Configuration
Select downlead cables for each channel. Each downlead carries mono audio from the AMP's Fischer port.
Mono-Binaural (Single Channel)
Your single downlead audio is distributed to both ears simultaneously. One audio source → heard in both earcups. This is the standard configuration for most tactical operations.
Monaural Separation (Dual Channel)
Each downlead routes to one ear only. Channel 1 → Left ear. Channel 2 → Right ear. Two independent mono signals allow monitoring separate radio nets simultaneously.
