Ear pro matters especially for tactical professionals working with high impulse noise enviorments - in the L-band for blasts— AMP + NFMI outclasses ComTac III–VIII, Safariland, Walker’s, FalCom and even INVISIO’s best in-ear, while uniquely keeping localization and comms online without wires or batteries in the plugs.
The Adaptive Mission Platforms user-driven design provides the highest levels of hearing protection and increased situational awareness, combined with maximum mission configurability. For over two decades, communications innovation was stagnant and did not keep up with the next generations of users, who are used to premium audio and electronics products in their daily lives. By working closely with end users and communications experts, the AMP headset was purpose built to meet and exceed mission requirements.
CONNECTORIZED:
Disconnect headset from downlead(s) to allow for set up on left, right, or both sides. System can quickly configure between single, dual, or no downlead.* NFMI Enabled.
The Ops-Core AMP Communication Headset features 3D Hear- Through Technology (3DHT) and advanced scalable hearing protection. For optimal flexibility and performance, the modular headset can be easily configured to meet a wide range of mission needs.
From the most dangerous operations like building entry, room clearing and breaching, to training to be the best, elite law enforcement personnel need to maintain the clearest and most fail-safe levels of communication and hearing protection. With the AMP Communication Headset, end users have an integrated communications solution that they can rely on.
Optional Near-Field Magnetic Induction earplugs increase attenuation while maintaining comms and 3DHT—no batteries, no charging, no cables. Kit includes standard, slim, and large Comply™ foam tips.
The AMP Communication Headsets are available in both fixed downlead and connectorized variants. Connectorized variants allows flexibility of being able to swap your downlead cable type and earcup connection.
Noise Protection Ratings
Headset Only
NRR 22 dB; SNR 27 dB (H 31 / M 23 / L 19 dB)
Plain-English analogy (steady-noise example): from 100 dBA engine noise, subtract (22−7)=15 dB → ~85 dBA at the ear. Roughly ~35% as loud (log scale), with modest low-frequency control.
Headset + Optional NFMI Earplugs
NRR 34 dB; SNR 41 dB (H 41 / M 39 / L 34 dB)
Plain-English analogy (steady-noise example): from 100 dBA, subtract (34−7)=27 dB → ~73 dBA. About ~15% as loud—and the crucial L-band jump from 19 → 34 dB means far less “thump” from blasts reaches the ear.
What AMP’s numbers mean: Three numbers from ISO 4869-2 / EN 352 that show the headset’s attenuation for noise dominated by High, Medium, or Low frequencies. They’re published alongside SNR to give a spectrum-aware view of protection. For AMP cups only, H 31 / M 23 / L 19 dB; with NFMI engaged, H 41 / M 39 / L 34 dB. That jump in L (from 19 → 34 dB) is why AMP + NFMI is so effective where blasts and engines push lots of low-frequency energy.
*Downleads and NFMI earplugs are sold separately
