Production Manager / Assembler 

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Production Manager who will lead and participate in the manufacturing and quality assurance of small electronic assemblies, cables, and related products. This role combines day-to-day production responsibilities with leadership, inventory coordination, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing and Quality Assurance

  • Build and inspect small electronic assemblies, cables, and devices
  • Operate equipment including soldering tools, overmolding setups, and Schlienger machines
  • Enforce quality standards and ensure builds meet internal specifications
  • Perform or oversee final product inspections

Documentation and Workflow Management

  • Read, create, and maintain detailed work instructions
  • Maintain production and inspection logs
  • Use Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Drive) for documentation and record keeping

Team Leadership

  • Lead and train a small production team
  • Set and adjust daily build priorities
  • Participate in weekly production meetings and manage production schedules

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Provide feedback to engineering on product improvements and buildability
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding status updates and issues
  • Proactively suggest process improvements and help implement solutions

Inventory and Material Control

  • Monitor and maintain raw material stock and consumables
  • Communicate with purchasing to ensure timely replenishment and avoid downtime

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in electronics assembly, production, or manufacturing team leadership
  • Skilled in soldering, cable prep, and over-molding
  • Experience using Schlienger or similar wire-processing equipment is preferred
  • Familiar with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving production environment
  • Self-starter capable of managing priorities and solving problems independently

Job Type: Full-time
