I screwed up and purchased the wrong connector initially. I emailed customer service and they told me to just ship it back and they’d swap it out which was super convenient. Once the correct adapter came in I finally tried it out and the audio is super clear when using it with my comtacs. Everything works nicely and is easy to run with the rest of my gear.

The reason I purchased this item is because I use to run a PRC radio with amplified PTT and Comtac headset. I no longer run the PRC. Now I run my Beaofeng radio and instead of using my old set up for it I just purchased this adapter and it works awesome. I highly recommend.

Works as advertised, audio quality is great. Be aware the cable is pretty long, or perhaps I’m just short, but either way with everything connected together you’ll end up with about 5 feet of cable to manage if you’re using the Peltor PTT. Not a big deal, solved it with some one wrap and rubber bands, just something to be aware of. 10/10 would recommend

Works with non-listed radios. I bought this for an Anytone 878 UVR plus that has the Kenwood style connection, I'm here to say it worked perfectly even though this radio is not listed above. As I said in another review the NATO plug allows me to use my Peltor PTT adapter. I won't go anywhere else for these converted PTTs

As advertised I went with the six-pin connecter because it allows me to use the Peltor PTT adapter which worked out to be perfect. I'm not talking about the Baofend multipin I'm referring to the 6-PIN MIL-C-55116 Connector.

The MISSING link!!! Once in awhile, you get something that works exactly as you expect. Even less frequently, your expectations are truly exceeded. This is one perfectly executed piece of gear. First, lets start with the quality of the component selection. The M55116 side of this adapter (the 6 pin) locks up TIGHT to every PTT I could find in my gear. This is not the area I'd focus on if I suspected signal loss due to a poor connection. Very good quality insulation on the lead that runs to the slug that get the resistance right. Again, well executed construction and solid connections on both sides. The adapter terminates on the Baofeng end with a version of this "plug" I haven't seen before. This is not a run of the mill fist mic plug that was cut off and repurposed by a parts house. The quality of this plug exceeds the OEM stuff I've seen from Baofeng by a mile. Connection to the radio is secure and bombproof. Since we've established that D32 used only top shelf components in building this adapter, we'll move on to performance. We use Invisio V50s and V60s with various Invisio headsets at work. It's great quality audio equipment but does not always play well with others. Set up was quick and easy & I was successfully opening a repeater at much greater distance and still coming through 5x5 with my UV9-ERA than any other aftermarket hacks I've tried to date. Simplex exercises turned in the same results. The folks at D32 threw together hand picked components and the performance is there. Do it

Outstanding function This is absolutely what you need to get connected from your Comtac downleads on to your UV5R radio. I needed the amplified version for my application. ALSO ... The non amplified version works great connecting a Thales PTT to the UV5R. I will be getting my Comtac 6 from Disco 32 as soon as possible

Well Made The cable is very well made and works, however you'll need some sort of inline amplification to use with high impedance radios such as Baofengs.
