The FAST XP helmet system provides pistol round protection for higher velocity 9mm rounds. With a slightly thicker shell than the SF, the XP offers a gain in protection: 205 ft/s increase in muzzle velocity for a 124g 9mm round in exchange for an increase of 0.28 lbs. in shell weight.
