Key System Features

• Spatial Audio Separation (Stereo): The included U174 Stereo Downlead cable allows independent comms to be sent to each earcup. When connected to the dual-band PRC-163 PTT, Channel A traffic goes to one ear, and Channel B goes to the opposite ear. This eliminates network confusion and allows for rapid cognitive differentiation of radio traffic.
• Dual Downlead Capability (Open Fischer Port): Because this kit routes both radio channels through a single stereo downlead, the second Fischer connector on the AMP headset remains completely open. This allows the operator to seamlessly attach an additional downlead cable to another system—such as an aircraft or vehicle Intercom System (ICS), a legacy PTT, or another tactical enabler.
• Native PRC-163 Integration: The U94 Dual Band PTT connects directly to the 19-pin ADF port on the L3Harris AN/PRC-163 Wideband Tactical Radio. It features dedicated, recessed PTT buttons for Channel 1 and Channel 2, allowing the operator to transmit on two networks seamlessly.
• 3D Hear-Through (3DHT): The AMP headset restores and enhances "natural hearing" using a patented Ear-Simulator design. This reproduces ambient sounds with a high degree of directional accuracy while simultaneously providing NRR 22dB hearing protection.
• Fail-Safe Communications: Even in the event of a dead headset battery, the hardware-level fail-safe ensures the headset will still be able to transmit and receive radio communications.
